Hearts With Hands™ is currently serving over 1200 area underprivileged school children weekly through its Bakpak Bunch program. Recent inclement weather forcing school authorities to change school schedules has caused Hearts With Hands™ to postpone the annual “Stuff a Bus” campaign until the beginning of the next school year. According to Executive Director, Bill Bradley, “The annual “Stuff a Bus” campaign raises over sixty percent of the food needed for the program. However, with additional requests for the program, food reserves are low forcing us to spend several hundred dollars a week to subsidize the program. Therefore, we are asking the public to help us raise the following items to get through the remainder of the school year.” Hearts With Hands is needing non perishable, child friendly convenience foods. Below is a list of the requested items:
O Canned Soup
O Peanut Butter
O Snack Crackers
O Snack Size Cereals
O Dried Fruit
O Cereal Bars
O Vienna Sausages
O Beanie Weenies
O Ravioli
O Spaghetti-o’s
O Juice Boxes/Bottles
O Microwave Mac n’ Cheese
Items may be donated at the Hearts With Hands™ warehouse located on Sand Hill Road or at Brown’s Pottery in Arden.
Financial donations to assist with the program may be mailed to:
